RIO GRANDE HALF & 5K
The Rio Grande Half Marathon is a USATF Championship Race, featuring a flat course that showcases the beauty of the Albuquerque Bosque. Runners can enjoy scenic views of the Rio Grande, lush cottonwood forests, the majestic Sandia Mountains, and expansive New Mexico skies. Whether you're aiming for a PR, seeking a fall marathon tune-up, or simply looking to have fun, we have you covered. There is also a 5k Run/Walk and a Kids 1k, ensuring inclusivity for participants of various ages. Runners receive unique, locally designed technical finisher shirts and medals. After the race, participants celebrate at the Finish Line Fiesta, featuring music, local craft beer, breakfast burritos, and an awards presentation. Register today to secure your spot!
FOOTHILLS 10 MILE Run
The Foothills 10 Mile Run offers an unforgettable experience with a challenging trail race surrounded by stunning scenery. Starting at about 6,500 feet, the race takes you through the rugged Sandia Mountains, the high desert landscape of the foothills, and the picturesque Rio Grande Valley. Enjoy the energetic atmosphere with a live DJ and awesome long-sleeved technical race shirts. Course preview runs led by Altra are available to familiarize runners with the route. We also have expanded heated areas and additional parking options. After crossing the finish line, indulge in New Mexico breakfast burritos and local coffee. The race offers serious prize money and with a limit of 400 participants, it's expected to sell out quickly!
ABQ Ladies Night Run
The 2023 ABQ Ladies Night Run took place Saturday, May 13th, with a theme centered around Empowering Female Unity. The event brought women together to achieve a common goal on a beautiful course suitable for runners and walkers of all abilities. Participants enjoyed scenic views of the the beautiful New Mexico sky and Sandia Mountains. Female participants in both the 8k run and 5k run/walk will received custom Lilly Barrack finishers necklaces. Lobo Photo NM was present to capture race moments, with free photo downloads for all participants. The evening culminated in the ABQ Ladies Night After Party, featuring locally sourced food, drinks, and live music. The event also showcased women-owned local businesses and artisan products.
